Environmental Policy

At Midland Marquees & Leisure we are dedicated to the implementation of proactive measures in order to help sustain the environment for future generations.

Our commitment is to try wherever possible to:

Comply with relevant environmental legislation
Try wherever possible to reduce consumption of natural resources throughout the business
Work with suppliers who also comply with environmental legislation
Manage all waste generated by our business according to the principles of reduction, re-use and recycling

Examples of environmental practices carried out:

All packaging used on our premises is re-used, we also use packaging from other local businesses
As an online company, we are very concious of our power consumption and always turn electronic equipment off at the source when not in use.
Email is used where possible rather than printouts unless requested

Carbon Offsetting

We are based in the centre of the National Forest and so are already surrounded by trees. In the land around us a 22 acre site has been planted with various trees and shrubs (22,500 trees to be exact!). There is also a pond which adds extra wildlife habitat as well as bat boxes in the more mature trees on the site. This land is owned by the family of the owners of Midland Marquees & Leisure. We feel that this more than offsets our carbon footprint.
